*1993 Mercedes Benz 500E*

The 500E was hand-built by Porsche employees at a dedicated Porsche factory, and just over 1,500 cars were sold new in the US.

This example is finished in Black (040) over factory fender flares and black lower cladding,  no accidents and only two prior owners in Florida and Illinois are reported.

Stock 16″ D-hole wheels wear Michelin Pilot HX tires. Upgraded factory 4-piston brakes were sourced from the contemporary R129 SL and service by Enthusiast Auto Group in 2016 included installation of new front and rear brake rotors, pads, and sensors along with a brake fluid flush. Additional work consisted of replacing the front sway bar bushings and shock absorbers and resealing the power steering pump.

Standard interior equipment included dual airbags, central locking, automatic climate control, a sliding/pop-up sunroof, and four-place sport seating. Electric memory adjustment and heating elements are provided for the front seats. A headliner repair was recently conducted.

The steering wheel is upholstered in leather and mounted on an electrically-adjustable column. A new contact ring for the airbag and turn signal was installed. An aftermarket Bluetooth stereo is equipped, though the car is said to retain factory Bose speakers. Just over 89k miles are shown on the 6-digit mechanical odometer.

The all-aluminum 5.0-liter V8 was originally rated at 326 horsepower and is linked to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a differential with a 1-to-2.72 ratio. Service by Enthusiast Auto Group in 2016, included a new starter electrical harness, high-pressure fuel pump line, serpentine belt and pulley, spark plugs, engine and transmission mounts, transmission selector rod bushing, and transmission fluid.
